November 20, 2009 Mr. Muldowney's cinematography class has been hard at work filming videos and has had a smashing success in the meantime. Cirillo High School students from grades 9 – 12 journeyed to Hilton High School to compete in a Model United Nations conference that is completely student-run. Well done! November 6, 2009 Veterans have risked their lives to ensure your freedoms. This Veterans Day give back to our Veterans. October 23, 2009 Trooper Frost spoke to the Gananda High School about the consequences of poor decisions on the community. Next week, October 30, a guest speaker will come and talk to the high school community about the Water for Sudan project. Click here to learn more about this wonderful project. October 16, 2009 Life is all about taking risks! October 9, 2009 Do you have a service you perform, a task you need completed, or someone you want to recognize? If so, you can add it to the Gananda Connections-Student Corner. If you have any questions, ask Mrs. Mack. Gananda high school students will be able to go on the Boston Whale Watch trip once again this year. If you have any questions about the trip ask Mrs. Peterson. September 25, 2009 The electronics policy has been modified. Students may now use iPods, mp3s, and other devices when permitted by staff. Students are allowed to bring laptops into classes to research and take notes. During assigned lunch periods, students are permitted to use their cellular devices; however, cellular devices must be in the student's locker at all other times. Students are encouraged to join Interact Club (adviser: Mr. Manske). Do not forget: If you plan to bring a guest to the homecoming dance, turn in your signed form to the main office. September 18, 2009 Gananda students will now be able to receive breakfast during advisement. Make sure to sign up for volunteer opportunities through Gananda Dollar for Scholars. Geometry is part of our lives. You can find geometric shapes everywhere! Happy Constitution Day! September 11, 2009 Gananda is starting Recycling Club again this year. This is a great source for volunteering. Please take a moment to remember those affected by the September 11th terrorist attack.
