RESEARCH ASSIGNMENT PAGE

THE MIDDLE AGES PROJECT(Mr. Caulkins - Grade 6)

As part of our in depth study of European history, you will be required
to complete a project on the Middle Ages. This project will include a
written report and a presentation of your research. The presentation may be
an oral report, or some sort of performance.

Some class time will be provides, but this will not be enough to
complete both a project and a written report. It is expected that each
student will work on this assignmnet as part of his/her homework. You'll
need to seek out references other than the textbook for information. I have
some resources that may be signed out for overnight use. More can be found
in our school and public libraries.

The projects may be done with a partner, or as an individual. If you
choose a partner, they must be from the same social studies class. On your
project you will receive three seperate grades:

		1. written report
		2. class presentation
		3. class work ethic and behavior

Attached is a list of ideas for your project. You may select one
from the list, or you may choose your own. All projects need to be approved
by the instructor. Have fun with your quest and be creative.
