INTRODUCTION

A wise teacher once suggested that through discovery students gain ownership of what they are learning. This activity has been developed to give you opportunity and ownership regarding the the Holocaust Unit, which you have been studying.
I could lecture you for hours (I already have) about the Holocaust. I could tell you what I know. Or I could allow you to make some discoveries and share them. This year, you'll be making discoveries, and I will guide you on your educational journey instead of droning on and on.
This Web quest basically involves the following:
--
You are given a list of paths to explore
--
You go exploring on the Internet (Using the suggested sites) and you record information
--
You develop a project on a part of your research that you find interesting
--
You turn in documentation of your 'travels' on the assigned paths
--
You present your project to the class

Got It?…Get It?…GOOD.

This is a project that also tests your ability to be self-directed learners without much direction or instructions. Let’s see what you can do.

THE QUEST

Your task is to learn about the Holocaust. Discover its history. Discover bystanders, perpetrators, victims, and rescuers. Learn about places and people and important events. Discover how the Holocaust started and what happened during the Holocaust from the Rise of the Nazis to Kristallnacht to Life in the Ghetto to the Camps to Liberation. Learn about Liberators and WWII in general. Discover some information on Judaism. Become educated about an important part of history and the literature written about it.

***So to sum it all up in English, you will be using the given sites to answer the following questions. It is your job to look through the sites to find the actual answers.

When you are done with the questions, you will make a final project. Your final project can be anything, use your creativity. Although your research must be individual your project may be with a partner.
