Universal Pre-K Program
2024-25 UPK Registration - ENROLL TODAY
New Registration Information:
Registration for September 2024 UPK classes will be January 22 - February 9, 2024. A lottery will be conducted on Monday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m. to determine placement. Enrollment forms and required documentation are due by 4:00 p.m. on February 9, 2024 to be included in the lottery. Those that enroll after February 9, 2024 will be placed if and where spots are available.
PLEASE NOTE: Immunization and proof of a physical examination do NOT need to be provided at the time of enrollment but are required before the start of the school year. Immunizations are a requirement of attendance. Please consult with your doctor or contact the elementary school nurse, 315-986-3521, x8-1530, regarding what immunizations are required for school attendance.
Registration packets are available below, or by visiting the District Office located in the Gananda Middle School at 1500 Dayspring Ridge, Walworth, NY 14568. You can also request to have the forms mailed to you by calling 315-986-0610.
Class Offerings:
The 3-year old UPK program is a half-day program held in the morning. The 4-year old UPK program is a full-day program that follows the elementary school schedule/calendar.
Busing:
All UPK students will be bused to school and back home with the rest of the elementary school students. (3-year old UPK students will ride a mid-day bus home.) Transportation is only provided to addresses within the Gananda CSD. Parents can drive their child to school if they wish, pick-up and drop-off procedures will be shared with you prior to the start of the school year.
Current UPK Students:
If your child attends the 2023-24 UPK program you do NOT need to enroll them for the 4-year UPK program or kindergarten. Your child will automatically be given a placement in the 4-year old program or kindergarten as appropriate. Watch for the 2024-25 Transportation Request Form that will need to be submitted prior to the start of the new school year.
Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will not attend school in the Gananda CSD in the 2024-25 school year.
