Together Including Every Student Program (TIES)

TIES Program

Promoting participation in extracurricular and community activities, the TIES (Together Including Every Student) program provides effective support for children and young adults with developmental disabilities.

The program, sponsored through Gananda Central School District, is currently seeking both volunteers to help participants with developmental disabilities join activities, and participants who want to learn about their community and have fun with peers. Students in grades 8-12 are eligible to volunteer in the program, and youth between the ages of 8-21 are eligible to participate in the program.
Participants choose the activity they would like to participate in - any variety of interests such as trips/classes/sports programs or after-school activities offered through Walworth Parks and RecreationWalworth-Seely or Macedon Public Libraries, Gananda Central Schools or any other adult-sponsored event.  Participants would then be partnered with a volunteer for their selected activity.
Volunteers have flexibility in their scheduling and commitments will be based on their schedule - you can volunteer for one event, or as many as you would like. A 45-minute training session must be completed prior to actively participating in the program.
