PTO Kickoff
Join us September 18th 2018 at 3:30 PM
at the Ruben A. Cirillo high school auditorium
for our Kick off Meeting!!
A brief PTO explanation will be done at this first meeting. We also hope to host representatives from the other organizations that help our school so much. The representatives will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and provide background and contact information for the group they represent.

Nominations for PTO board will be collected at this kickoff meeting. Up for election are:

*Presides over monthly meetings
*Serves as the primary contact for the principals
*Represents the organization at meetings outside the organization
*Coordinates the work of all the officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served

Vice President:
*Assists the president
*Carries out president's duties in their absence

*Keeps all records of the organization
*Takes and records minutes
*Prepares the agenda
*Handles correspondence
*Sends notice of meetings to the members

*Receives all funds of the organization
*Keeps and accurate record of receipts and expenditures
*Pays out funds in accordance with the approval of the board
*Presents financial statements at every meeting, at times of the year when requested by the board, and makes a full report at the end of the year.

High School students will be on hand to watch children to give parents a chance to attend!!
The Gananda Parent Teacher Organization is an inclusive,
non-profit organization composed of community members and staff
of the Gananda Central School District.

Mission Statement:

The PTO’s mission is to establish a close relationship between home and school
by initiating, supporting, enriching, and advocating for the critical role of adult involvement
in the education and life experiences of children and young adults 
throughout the Gananda community.


The PTO is organized to enhance, encourage, and empower community and parent 
within the Gananda Central School District.
It is our belief that working closely with the school and community
can boost the efforts of the school to provide the best learning environment
for our children and young adults.
