Gananda Central School District is pleased to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2021. With a GPA of 100.07, Julia Pitolaj is Valedictorian and with a GPA of 99.91, Kerry Prinsen is Salutatorian.
Pitolaj is involved in the Ruben A. Cirillo High School Student Congress, Human Rights Club, Sources of Strength, Math League, and participates in National Honor Society as well as Math Honor Society. Additionally, she has been on the Gananda Girls Varsity Soccer Team throughout her high school career. Her family includes parents Irena and Stefan, her older brother Daniel (Gananda Class of 2020), her younger brother Andrew (Gananda Class of 2024), and two cats. After high school, Pitolaj intends to study biology at Cornell University, and hopes to someday work in a lab doing medical research. Her favorite quote is: “Be the reason someone smiles today.”
Prinsen participates in the Ruben A. Cirillo High School National Honor Society, Math National Honor Society, and Citizens of the World (COW) Club. Additionally, she played both soccer and basketball during her high school career, and is a member of the Varsity Club. Her family includes parents Donna and Michelle, older sisters Heather (Gananda Class of 2014) and Cassie (Gananda Class of 2019), and dog Sophie. Prinsen plans to attend the University of Buffalo next year with a dual major in biology and environmental sciences. She hopes to someday be an environmental conservationist and researcher. Prinsen's goal is to always try to better herself.In addition to our Valedictorian and Salutatorian, we would like to also announce the names of our students from the Class of 2021 that are graduating with a GPA of 95% or more.
