Early Friday afternoon, the Gananda Central School District learned of a car accident that claimed the life of Nestor Goya. Mr. Goya was a bus driver for the district and the accident was not related to his work as a bus driver.
Mr. Goya was a bus driver for 2 years with the district. His wife Nubia Goya is a district employee as well.
This is an incredibly difficult time throughout the district. To assist staff and students, we have activated our crisis team and counseling services will be available for those who may need it. The district will support those throughout the district and the community in any way possible.
The entire Gananda Central School District offers its sincere condolences to friends and family of Mr. Goya during this trying time.
