Introducing MyRide K-12!

On Friday, September 26th, your student will be receiving their 2025-2026 Student Identification Card. As in years past, this card will be their source of school identification for the cafeteria and library — and now the bus!

We are excited to announce that the new Student Identification cards will be equipped with RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) to work in conjunction with MyRide K-12 Parent Application for improved student transportation tracking.

New RFID Cards and Bus Scanners
We have installed new tap-to-scan RFID card readers on all in-district school buses. Students will simply tap the card to scan on and off the bus each day. Students will receive their cards this Friday and will need to carry it with them daily.

*Should a student misplace or lose their card, they are allowed one replacement card at no cost. Each additional replacement will incur a cost of $3.

MyRide K-12 Parent App
Parents and students can use the MyRide K-12 app to access their own secure data regarding bus stop location, route, and pickup times. Additionally, the app can share real-time bus estimated times of arrival, reducing time spent waiting at the stop and helping students never miss the bus again.

To get the most out of the MyRide K-12 App, please download it in your app store or online at https://myridek12.tylerapp.com/. When utilizing the app, please note the following:

  • The student ID number is needed to add a student to the account, this is the same number used for lunches and the library which can be found in SchoolTool and ParentSquare (Menu->Select Student->Dashboard->Overview).

  • Only one parent/guardian can register for an account. Once your account has been established, you can “add students” and “share students” with other parents, guardians, or childcare providers.

    • To do this, log in to the app and look under the “select action” menu for options to add, share, or remove students.

* Sharing access allows others to view your child’s bus route, real-time bus location, and estimated pick-up and drop-off times.

These updates are part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and improved communication. If you have any questions or need assistance with the new system, please contact our transportation department at (315) 986-3521.

Thank you for your patience and support as we launch this exciting new initiative!
