Congratulations to Gananda senior Jay Giles on being named a recipient of the National Merit Northeastern University Scholarship and graduating as the Class of 2026 Valedictorian!
The National Merit Scholarship Program is one of the nation's most respected academic competitions, recognizing students for exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and potential for future success. Less than 1% of students that take the PSAT every year end up earning a National Merit Scholarship. This is a significant accomplishment and reflects Jay's dedication to academic excellence throughout his high school career.
In addition to this honor, Jay was named Gananda's Valedictorian, graduating at the top of the Class of 2026. His commitment to learning, hard work, and perseverance has distinguished him as a leader both inside and outside the classroom.
This fall, Jay will attend Northeastern University, where he will study Biology and Data Science, along with a minor in Public Health.
