Budget Vote & Board of Education Election Results

 

On May 15, 2018 the polls at the Gananda CSD closed at 9:00 pm, paper ballots were tallied and the following results were announced.

 

Proposition 1:  School Budget - PASSED.  Yes Votes = 181.  No Votes = 89.

Shall the proposed budget of $23,407,831 for the 2018-19 school year be approved? 

 

 

Proposition 2: Bus Purchase -   PASSED.  Yes Votes =  182.  No Votes = 89.

Resolved that the Board of Education of the Gananda Central School District is hereby authorized to undertake the acquisition of school buses at an estimated maximum aggregate cost of $299,000 less trade-in value, if any, and to appropriate and expend from the existing bus purchase reserve fund $108,000 for such costs, and that the balance of such costs, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be raised by the ley of tax to be collected in annual installments; and, in anticipation of such tax, debt obligations of the school district as may be necessary not to exceed $191,000 shall be issued, or the school district may enter into an installment purchase contract if the Board of Education determines that it is in the best interest of the school district to finance the purchase in that method.

 

      

Board of Education Election

 

Lisa Finnegan was re-elected to a 3-year term beginning July 1, 2018 with 220 votes.

Robin Vogt was re-elected to a 3-year term beginning July 1, 2018 with 217 votes.
