About the Board of Education
Consisting of seven volunteer members, the Gananda Board of Education serves to represent the community and is the governing body of the District. Board members serve without pay and are elected by the voters of the district for a term of three years. The board oversees the education of students and is responsible for school district operations, but does not directly run the district’s day-to-day operations. The Board’s focus is on the district vision, goals, and policies.
Gananda Board Of Education Meetings are generally held twice a month and consist of Work Sessions and Business Meetings. Work Sessions are held on the second Wednesday of each month; Business Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. For the location and time of Board Meetings, please see the online district calendar.
