This video provides you with easy to follow Chromebook tips to maintain the operation of your Chromebook.

everyone this is Mrs Keenan the technology teaching tips for you just like people need sleep to have a clear mind and rested brain are Chromebooks need the same please make sure you close all tabs Scout everyday you should see a button in the middle of your screen that's red that says sign out you can click on that if need be you can come to the bottom right and click on this ground area and you will also see where it says sign out and you can click there and it will log you off you should also shut down completely one time a week in order to do that after you sign find the red button you'll see the words shut down in the bottom left-hand corner or once again you can come back to this little control panel and this button here will shut down for you if you have any issues like apps not working or programs freezing like I ready you can also try clearing the cache or browsing data in order to do this you come up to the top right where these three little circles and you click on them and you're going to click on more tools and clear browsing data when that window opens off you want to make sure that you clicked on advanced and that this Lindo reads all time then you want to make sure that you have clicked in each of these boxes so that there is a white check mark in it and there are set foxes as you can see here once you've done that you're going to click on clear data and that will clear out any extra files that you don't need that may help your Chromebook run easier or faster after we tried that there's one more thing that you want to take a look at once a week or even every other week and asked to see if your Virginia promise of today in order to check that you go back up to the top right in the three circles and this time you're going to click on health in about Google Chrome my version is at 81 here and I am up to date so if you are less than that if you are 79 or 80 you know you're going to need to update so you're going to click on to see if your device is up-to-date go to Chrome my settings and then it's going to have a box here this is check for updates so you're going to click on that box and mine says I'm up to date so I don't need to do anything else if yours needs up it's going to run you through the update which could take a couple of minutes and when it's done there will be another button that says click to restart so in order for your new version of Chrome to work you're going to have to restart the whole computer so those are three tips you can try to fix some of the glitches you may run into using your Chromebooks if none of those work please contact your students to let them know what's going on and then your teacher will contact our technology department and they will fix your issue in a timely manner thank you and have a great week
