Safe School Bus Stops

School Bus Stops are selected each year by the Transportation Supervisor, reviewed and approved by the Board of Education.

School Bus Stops are selected by:

  • Safety: Is the bus stop safe?
  • Age of students at the stop
  • Visibility at the stop
  • Length of a cul-de-sac
  • Maneuverability
  • Legal requirements for amber warning lights
  • Legal requirement for 15 ft.
  • Efficiency, cost and time restraints
  • Mechanical wear and tear (pulling parking brake at every bus stop)

Process for a complaint about a bus stop:

  • Speak with Transportation Supervisor, email, or leave a message on ext. 18
  • Transportation Supervisor will respond to parent after reviewing the bus stop and request.

Look at the Transportation letter you received at the beginning of the school year.  If you do not see your house number listed,  then please proceed to the nearest bus stop for pick up and drop off.
